Welcome to FlowBiz Export Private Limited, an established engineering benchmark for large-scale water management, municipal infrastructure isolation, and heavy-duty fluid handling technology. Operating advanced metallurgical foundries and hydro-testing centers, we are India's premier manufacturer, supplier, and global exporter of high-integrity Cast Iron Sluice Gate Valves.
With strategic manufacturing and primary logistics hubs serving Vadodara, Gujarat and Pune, Maharashtra, our distribution network seamlessly fulfills bulk municipal and industrial demands across the entire domestic marketincluding Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Surat, Vapi, Thane, Nagpur, and Chennaialongside fast-tracked international freight lines for global export.
FlowBiz Sluice Gate Valves are engineered strictly in accordance with Indian Standards IS 780 and IS 14846, making them the definitive benchmark for municipal waterworks, raw intake lines, and effluent pipelines. Our valves feature a heavy bolted bonnet design and robust multi-turn top-works to deliver absolute, leak-proof binary isolation under medium-pressure conditions.

Cast from premium grade IS 210 FG 200/220 cast iron, our sluice valve bodies provide exceptional structural mass, wall thickness, and natural acoustic vibration damping. The round body shell is meticulously engineered to promote completely even pressure distribution across the valve casing, eliminating the risk of localized casting fatigue or body cracking under sudden pressure surges.
To accommodate diverse physical plant layouts and underground pits, we offer two distinct mechanical stem styles:
Rising Stem (OS&Y Type): The actuation threads remain completely outside the valve body, shielding them from process fluid deposits. The rising stem provides an immediate visual indicator of the valve's open/closed position for plant operators.
Non-Rising Stem Type: The internal gate climbs the stem threads internally. Because the stem does not travel vertically outside the bonnet, this design is excellent for tight, space-restricted configurations, underground chambers, and buried water mains.
When cycled into the fully open position, the sluice gate wedge retracts completely out of the pipeline channel. This creates an unhindered, straight-through internal path that perfectly matches the pipeline's nominal diameter. This configuration provides near-zero fluid resistance, prevents sludge or organic debris buildup, and lowers parasitic pumping energy losses.
Our sluice valves feature integrated double-flanged end connections precision-machined to matching industrial parameters. Bolting the valve directly to adjacent pipe flanges provides excellent structural rigidity, ensures an absolute leak-proof joint when combined with a premium rubber or neoprene gasket, and simplifies regular inline maintenance access.
FlowBiz cast iron sluice gate valves are specified across high-volume municipal and industrial fluid grids:
Municipal Water Infrastructure: Centralized clean water distribution mains, raw water intake pumping stations, and reservoir headers.
Wastewater & Sewage Treatment Plants: Primary sewage intake grids, raw sludge filtration loops, and effluent discharge lines.
Industrial Cooling Water Systems: Managing large-diameter cooling tower circuits, heat exchanger supply lines, and plant utility headers.
Firefighting & Irrigation Networks: High-volume distribution mains for agricultural zones and industrial fire-water storage rings.
A: Standard ball valves incorporate small internal body cavities surrounding the ball where fluid accumulates when the valve cycles. If the line handles raw water, municipal sewage, or storm runoff, sediments settle inside that cavity and harden over time, jamming the valve. A Sluice Gate Valve features a completely open, vertical pocket design. The closing wedge mechanically clears away sediment as it descends, preventing particle accumulation and making it the superior choice for dirty water networks.
A: No. Sluice gate valves are designed and engineered strictly as binary ON/OFF isolation devices. Leaving the gate wedge partially open to throttle fluid exposes the bottom edge of the wedge and body seats to severe, high-velocity fluid turbulence and chattering vibration. This rapidly erodes the internal sealing faces, causing permanent fluid bypassing and destroying the valve's ability to achieve a tight shut-off when fully closed. For throttling loops, FlowBiz Cast Iron Globe Valves must be selected.
A: A rising stem valve requires significant vertical clearance because the stem extends outward as the valve opens, making it impractical for shallow underground vaults or low-ceiling basements. A Non-Rising Stem Sluice Valve keeps its total height completely constant whether it is fully open or fully closed. This makes it the absolute industry standard for buried water mains and tight space configurations where overhead space is at a premium.
A: Sluice valves in sewage and waterworks are constantly exposed to moisture, chemicals, and microbial corrosion. Instead of temporary cosmetic paints, FlowBiz treats each cast iron body with a high-build, anti-corrosive industrial epoxy coating. This thick protective layer isolates the cast iron shell from atmospheric moisture and aggressive media, preventing rust formation and reducing sludge accumulation to minimize cleaning requirements.
