To meet varying process conditions, pipeline layouts, and maintenance budgets, FlowBiz manufactures four distinct body architectures:
The most cost-effective and lightweight variant. The body components enclosing the ball are permanently pressed or welded together at our factory. Because it contains no intermediate bolted body seams, it provides an inherently rigid structure with minimized external leak paths.
Engineering Note: One-piece valves cannot be opened or disassembled for internal cleaning or maintenance. They are ideally specified for low-demanding, clean utility applications where a long-life, disposable isolation valve is preferred.
Composed of two independent body sections securely joined together via a threaded or bolted connection. This configuration allows the valve to be disassembled for comprehensive internal cleaning, seat replacement, and routine inspection. To service the internal trims, the entire valve assembly must be removed from the pipeline.
Engineered for critical process lines where minimizing downtime is paramount. This premium layout utilizes a central body capsule containing the ball and seats, securely clamped between two independent end caps via heavy-duty bolt connections.
Field Advantage: Maintenance crews can loosen the body bolts and swing out the central capsule to replace worn seals or internal trims without removing the end connections or cutting the pipeline.
Available with full or reduced port paths and versatile multi-directional flow configurations to handle demanding plant layouts.
Internal Ball Support Selection
Floating Ball Trunnion Ball
The ball is suspended in media The ball is mechanically anchored
and supported by two PTFE seats. by upper and lower stem bearings.
Upstream pressure pushes the ball Recommended for large bore lines
into the downstream seat for a tight (DN >100mm) and high pressures
seal; ideal for standard utility lines. (>30 Bar) to keep operating torque low.
The majority of standard industrial ball valves utilize the floating ball design. In this configuration, the ball is suspended within the fluid stream and held in place by two high-strength PTFE sealing rings. When the valve is closed, upstream fluid pressure pushes the ball into the downstream seat ring. This mechanical action tightens the sealing interface, delivering excellent tight isolation.
For high-capacity pipelines, large diameters, and high operating pressuresspecifically where the valve size exceeds DN 100mm and pressures surpass 30 Bara trunnion ball design is required. The ball is mechanically anchored within upper and lower vertical shafts (trunnions), keeping its position fixed. The fluid pressure forces the independent, spring-loaded seat rings against the ball rather than pushing the ball against the seats. This configuration significantly reduces the physical load exerted on the seat seals and keeps operating torque low, allowing for smaller, more cost-effective automated actuators.
Industrial loops, agricultural irrigation, and outdoor setups expose equipment to moisture, weather, and chemicals. All FlowBiz metallic components receive an advanced corrosion-resistant polish and finish. This surface treatment prevents rust, pitting, and environmental oxidation, significantly extending the valve asset's field lifespan and lowering routine maintenance costs.
Our seats utilize premium PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene). PTFE provides near-total chemical compatibility across water, oils, solvents, and industrial gases. Its self-lubricating properties lower surface friction against the mirror-polished ball, ensuring smooth, low-torque operation and reliable, leak-free performance over thousands of continuous operating cycles.
FlowBiz ball valves adapt quickly to your exact facility layout and standard piping specifications:
Flanged Ends: Ideal for heavy-duty setups; allows for rapid installation and bolt-on removal during scheduled maintenance shutdowns.
Screwed (Threaded) Ends: Available with precision-cut NPT or BSP threads for small pipe sizes, instruments, and quick assembly.
Welded Ends: Provides a permanent, zero-leak joint, preferred in high-pressure pipelines or critical services where fugitive emissions must be completely eliminated.
A: A quarter-turn (90) mechanism allows for fast, simple open-and-close functionality. Compared to multi-turn gate or globe valves, this rapid action significantly reduces actuation times, allowing field operators to isolate critical lines instantly during unexpected process upsets. Each handle is also equipped with a high-durability, comfortable PVC-coated sleeve to protect operators' hands in extreme environments.
A: Every individual ball valve undergoes strict quality assurance and rigorous hydrostatic pressure testing before leaving our Narmada factory. This testing verifies casing structural density and pressure resistance to confirm zero leakage across the sealing seats. This testing process is a key part of our certified ISO 9001:2015 quality management system, ensuring each product complies with strict industrial standards before deployment.
A: In lines larger than DN 100mm handling high pressures (above 30 Bar), the hydraulic forces acting on a floating ball become extremely intense. This force presses a floating ball into the downstream PTFE seat with excessive load, which can deform the polymer seal and drastically increase the torque required to turn the valve. A Trunnion design absorbs these high hydraulic forces through heavy-duty upper and lower bearings. This configuration shields the seat rings from excessive structural stress and ensures smooth, low-torque operation, extending the valve's service life.
A: FlowBiz Exports balances precision industrial engineering with strict compliance to global validation benchmarks under our ISO 9001:2015 certified production line. By offering versatile structural configurations (one, two, and three-piece bodies), high-performance PTFE seating matrices, and flexible connection choices, we eliminate operational risks in the field. Our capacity to deliver durable, low-maintenance ball valves tailored to your exact application footprint makes us a highly dependable supply chain partner across India and global export markets.
