AUDCO Plug Valve Sealant

AUDCO Plug Valve and Sealants are high-viscosity fluids specially produced to seal and lubricate plug valves. Only AUDCO Sealants should be used on the Super-H plug valve. The use of sealant or commercial greases not recommended by us can impair the functioning of the valve and, in the worst case, seize it completely.

Furthermore, minimal sealant injection frequency can guarantee zero leakage seal and smooth operation on the Super-H plug valve.

Moreover, Audco and Nordstrom Sealant supplement the "Super LoMu" treatment to reduce friction between the seating surfaces and provide a very effective seal, even at higher line pressure.

Sealants should be selected based on working fluid and operating temperature. The tables below summarise our general sealant recommendations.

Multi-Purpose Sealants

In recent years the Audco Valves research laboratories have paid great attention to developing multi-purpose sealants to

simplify plant maintenance where many services are encountered. As a result of this research, we can offer two sealants

that, between them, cover a wide variety of services and have replaced many of the older Audco sealants. A single multi-purpose sealant can often be used throughout an entire plant, even though that plant handles a variety of fluids; this simplifies maintenance and reduces the number of sealants that must be stocked.

Lubricating and Sealing Properties

In addition to being suitable for a wide range of services, these sealants have excellent lubricating properties and great film strength.

They supplement the Super LoMu treatment to reduce friction between the seating surfaces and provide a very effective seal at higher

line pressures.

Temperature Range

The temperature range of each sealant is given in these tables, but the sealant performance within the given temperature range may

vary with the particular fluid being handled.
